I've always been a reader first. When everything in life gets crazy, I love disappearing into a book as my "me" time. Usually romance (and always with a happily ever after!) because I have too much stress in my life for extra stress. I love strong heroes and equally strong heroines.
I spent a lot of years in corporate telling myself I'd write "eventually." Eventually finally showed up, and I started writing... and didn't stop. What started as a hobby has evolved into much more, and I'm incredibly happy to continue writing.
Keeping It Local is my debut novel. It's the story of Beth, who finally gives herself permission to be a little bit brave.
I wrote this book during nap times, late nights, and all the margins throughout the day. I wrote it because I needed to. And I hope reading it feels the same way.
When I'm not in Port St. Clair, I'm in Michigan and live with two littles who believe bedtime is a suggestion (we're working on it!). I also have a full-time job that has absolutely nothing to do with romance novels. When it's nice out (and even when it's not), I love being outside with my family, ideally on a boat, which is probably why every story I write ends up somewhere near water. If you're someone who reads romance during the 20 minutes of quiet you carve out for yourself each day... Hi!
Port St. Clair is a small, beachside town with a big community, live music on warm nights, and the kind of locals who know everyone's name (and their business). Keeping It Local is the first novel set there, but it won't be the last. There are more stories living in this town, and I can't wait to bring them to you. Start with One Stormy Night (a free short story set in the same world), and let Port St. Clair introduce itself.
